PPWT Pilates MAT Classes – A Workout for Everyone

No fancy labels, just Pilates that grows with you.
Here’s the truth: Life doesn’t stick to “beginner” or “advanced” schedules—and neither do we. My classes are designed for all levels, because Pilates isn’t about keeping up; it’s about starting where you are and building from there.
How It Works:
I teach in layers. Every exercise begins with the essentials—proper alignment, breath, and control. Then, I offer progressions (think: shifting arm positions, adjusting leg angles, or adding resistance) to gently challenge your strength, balance, or flexibility. You choose what feels right for your body today.
Example: The Hundred (Classic Pilates Fave!)
- Layer 1: Lie on your back, knees bent. Pump arms lightly at your sides, breathing deeply. Focus on stabilizing your core.
- Layer 2: Lift legs to tabletop. Add small pulses with your arms while keeping your lower back grounded.
- Layer 3: Extend legs to a 45-degree angle. Pump arms faster, engaging your deep abdominals.
- Layer 4 (For the Curious!): Add ankle weights or lift your head/shoulders slightly for extra heat.

Our classes offer a supportive environment where you can either team up with a parent in a combo class or enjoy dedicated sessions with your peers. Plus, I’m committed to creating a safe space for all participants. I have background clearance through the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme, managed by Disclosure Scotland. This ensures that individuals working with young people are vetted and suitable for the role, helping to keep everyone safe.
